The PNA and tuna sales organization Pacifical said they have suspended a vessel upon hearing that its onboard observer – Eritara Aati Kaierua, from Kiribati – had died. “Upon news of the tragedy and pending police investigation, PNA had immediately suspended the Win Far No.636 from our MSC scheme, any catch from this vessel cannot become PNA MSC eligible.”
MSCount: The same vessel is also part of the MSC certified WPSTA fishery.
